| Here at LUJANS POODLES we have RED, APRICOT, CREAM and occasional BLACK coat colors available. Unlike most dogs which have double coats, poodles have a single layer (no undercoat) of dense, curly fur that sheds minimally and could be considered hypo allergenic (though not completely allergen free). Texture ranges from coarse and woolly to soft and wavy. |
| LUJANS POODLES specialize in breeding MINI and TOY size Poodle puppies which are known to be small and are very popular. Toys can be 5-10 lbs and up to 10 inches in height. MINIS can be 8 - 15 lbs and up to 11 - 15 inches in height. Unlike most breeds, Poodles come in a variety of sizes, distinguished by adult shoulder height. Poodles are generally recognized in three sizes: Standard, Miniature, and Toy. |
| We have been a small breeder of Poodles since 1985. We specialize in the breeding of miniature and toy sized Poodles of different colors and sizes and have been doing so for over 25 years. We are very much committed to raising and caring for our Poodles with love, and in healthy, clean environments. The Poodle is regarded as the second most intelligent breed of dog after the Border Collie, and before the German Shepherd. The Poodle breed is found officially in Toy, Miniature, and Standard sizes, with many coat colors. Originally bred as a type of water dog, the Poodle is skillful in many dog sports, including agility, obedience, tracking, and even herding. Poodles are elegant in the conformation ring, having taken top honors in many shows, including "Best in Show" at the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show in 1991 and 2002, and at the World Dog Show in 2007 and 2010. |
